Changes to the End of Life Schedule

Changes to the End of Life Schedule

In order to better support ongoing projects, Skyline Communications has made some changes to the End of Life schedule. Let’s take a look!

Here’s an overview of what is changing.

Support for legacy Reports & Dashboards module

Our legacy Reports and Dashboards module is being phased out and replaced, and will go into End of Support as of DataMiner 10.3.0. This means that existing installations using legacy reports and dashboards will continue to work when you upgrade to DataMiner 10.3.0, but we recommend transitioning all your reports and dashboards to the new Dashboards app as soon as possible.

MySQL and MSSQL as general database

  • As planned, MSSQL support will go to End of Life status as of DataMiner 10.3.0. If you are still using MSSQL and want to upgrade to 10.3.0, you will first need to migrate to Cassandra.
  • MySQL will transition into End of Support status, so it will still function when upgrading to 10.3.0, but we recommend migrating to Cassandra as soon as possible. With DataMiner 10.4.0, MySQL too will go into the End of Life phase.
  • Both MSSQL and MySQL are no longer available for new installations.
