I can't open a specific web-interface for some of my elements that are running Huawei Manager protocol.
Is it possible to configure an Information Template to hide this page?
I'm asking this because on Information Template, I can hide parameters, so could be the case there is a way to hide the Web-Interface page.
In addition to the global permission flag (see Bert's post), we also have the option to hide element pages based on a parameter value within that element.
Obviously it's not the intention to start implementing this in bulk, but I believe it could make sense for certain types of drivers, specifically ones that are managing a large variety of models, such as the 'Huawei Manager', 'Cisco Manager', ... and the like. That would allow you to hide the web UI page for individual elements through a simple toggle button.
There is a global permission flag General > Elements > Data Display > Device webpage access that can remove these webinterface pages, but there is currently no configuration to do this on a protocol or element level.
What dataminer version are you running?
In the past, you needed write access on an element to be able to view the web interface page.
DataMiner 9.6.13.
The 9.6.13 no longer restricts access to the web interface if the user doesn’t have write rights. This must be something different then.
Learned something, did not know about this flag.
