Hello Community,
I have an issue with rights. A user, who has the rights to create services, also to assign Visios to views (and also can do this), isn’t able to assign a Visio to a service. He gets the windows pop up, can select the Visio in the list, and also upload a new Visio, but when clicking on OK, nothing happen (even no error message).
Only me as admin can make this change, not him with all the rights I could find. Even granting the complete 2 Service permission tree structures.
I hope you can help me out of this situation.
many thanks
Romain
Hello, yes the access is also on each service. The rights are given from the level below through the complete structure.
They have WRITE and CONFIG rights on everything in this tree structure, including elements and services.
Kind regards, Romain
Hi Romain,
Did you enable the visual permissions ?
Hello,
yes all this is activated. the User can do all the Visio things, like uploading, editing, assigning to a View, but only not to a Service.
Kind regards
How about the service rights? Both in general and for that service specifically?
Hello,
both Service permissions are all set. Thats why I don’t know why this isn’t working.
Romain
Hello,
yes the config flag is set to the views where the services are located.
The services are only located there, not on locations where the group has no rights.
Kind regards
Romain
Hi Romain,
Is the Config flag also enabled for the services themselves? This is something that can only be done on group level. As you can see in the screenshot in my earlier answer, each DataMiner object is then displayed. To be able to assign a Visio drawing to an object, the flag also needs to be enabled on the object itself, rather than only on the view containing the object.
Hi Romain,
Could you check whether the user has the Config rights for these services?
(Note that this can only be configured on group level.)
Hello,
this is still not working with all the requested right set on the permissions of this user.
Is there a bug? We are running on 10.2.0 CU14 at the moment
Kind regards
Romain

In that case, I think this issue requires a deeper investigation than is possible on this forum. Could you contact techsupport@skyline.be for assistance?
