Please, Dojo - have we got any quick reference here on the community for the EOL and the related support of these OS versions?
Wondering if there’s been any updates on this – by the way is Windows NT6.2 actually included in the list of f past OS versions supported by Skyline for DataMiner?
Hi Alberto,
Windows NT 6.2 refers to both Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Windows 8 is already end of life. Windows Server 2012 will go end of life in October.
DataMiner follows Microsoft's lifecycle for OS support, which means the Operating systems supported by Microsoft are supported for DataMiner.
Hi Alberto,
On following page you can read about the advised OS to be used to run DataMiner on:
DataMiner Compute Requirements - DataMiner Dojo
Note that besides the OS, there are also minimum requirements on the .NET Framework per DataMiner version. (Can also be found on that same page).
In regards to the "End - of - life", Please have a look at following page:
Skyline Support Life Cycles - DataMiner Dojo
This describes the support life cycles for our DataMiner software, Functionality evolutions and Third-party software support. Hope this answered all your questions
These pages have been moved to docs.dataminer.services: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Reference/DataMiner_Compute_Requirements.html and https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Reference/Software_support_life_cycles.html.
Unfortunately we don’t have any information about this yet. I will bring this up internally and we will probably expand the following page to include this information: https://community.dataminer.services/dataminer-compute-requirements/
I will get back to you when we have something online.
Thanks for detecting this!
