Hi Dojo community,
I know you can monitor the status of multiple cloud-connected DMS's at admin.dataminer.services, but as far as I understand, you can not monitor them across multiple organizations, and also you can not see the detailed KPI as you wish.
I believe you may be able to achieve it by directly connecting to individual DMS via VPN, or custom API, but do you have any interface in dataminer.serivces to get the KPI via dataminer.serivces ?
Any suggestion ?
Hi
what KPI would you be interested in exactly? Are you looking to check if the system is online?
If this is what you are looking for you can create a user-defined API and call that over the dataminer.services platform. You can find more information on this here:Triggering a user-defined API | DataMiner Docs.
Hope this helps you forward.
Hi Baptiste,
Thank you for your comment.
Not only to check the DMS is online, but also I’d like to check how much objects has been used in the DMS spinned up as Daas, how much storage has been used as STaas, what was the traffic been consumed in Daas, or how much credits has been consumed, etc.
Do you have “ready-made” API to check such KPI in the dataminer.services platform ?
Best
Hi, at this moment we have no such API available. There is a team currently working to provide/show usage/consumption-information in the Admin app on https://admin.dataminer.services . If this would be released in the near future, it will be mentioned on the dataminer.services change log which you can find here: https://docs.dataminer.services/release-notes/Cloud/DCP_change_log.html
Hi Jordy,
Thank you for your input.
That sounds very nice feature.
Futhre more, you can also improve user experience by providing, say,
– customizable dashboard feature on top of the admin.dataminer.services to gather KPI’s from multiple organization,
– or, API implementation to admin.dataminer.services
These feature should be useful, because you have to manually selecting an organization at the top right corner of admin.dataminer.services GUI with the current UI design.
