The DataMiner Precision Time Protocol app collects and correlates data from each PTP device and interfaces with third-party PTP network analyzers to achieve a true 360° real-time PTP monitoring solution. The app immediately informs about network degradations or any PTP state changes, originating from GNSS (global navigation satellite system) down to every PTP slave device to ensure a stable and reliable PTP environment
USE CASE DETAILS
DataMiner PTP app monitors your PTP grandmasters, PTP boundary clocks, PTP transparent clocks and your PTP slave nodes and integrates with any PTP analyzer.
The PTP summary page shows the total number of PTP nodes, the summary icon displays the alarm color of the most severe PTP-related alarm on your PTP nodes.
Always have a full overview on all PTP-related alarms in the entire system.
See the most important KPIs and settings of the current grandmaster, as well as the aggregated alarm information for all PTP nodes on the nodes summary tab.
Further check the PTP performance over time for metrics such as mean path delay or PTP offset.
Drill down to more details on the nodes tab. The summary not only shows all PTP-related alarms but also the overall element alarm state of each node.
Easily compare your grandmaster settings or boundary clock settings on the grandmasters and boundary clocks tab.
Drill down to even more details on your boundary clocks down to the switch interface level. Monitor the PTP state of each interface, configure your PTP settings and PTP message rates and get detailed PTP statistics.
Also monitor all your PTP slave nodes. Always be assured that each slave is locked to PTP and sees the correct grandmaster.
Have a look at your PTP topology. The little clock icon indicates the current active grandmaster. And again, see the overall node alarm state and the PTP alarms of each node.
DataMiner PTP app comes with an easy-to-use installation wizard.
