We are migrating our agents from physical machines to cloud connected VMs. We would like confirmation on which network(cooperate or acquisition) should we use to to move the data(SFTP) between the on-premises and off-premises agents. It is not clear for us which IP we should configure on network firewall.
It doesn't matter, you can choose any, as long as there is connectivity.
Hi Christine,
The primary purpose of an acquisition network is to collect information from data sources. Most of time the acquisition network is configured in such a way that only allows traffic between the DMA(s) and the monitored devices. On the other hand, the primary purpose of the corporate network is the communicate between the DMA(s) and clients/web browsers. As Ive mentioned, you can choose any network. However, based on the purpose of each network, I believe that the corporate network should be used.
