Visio: Alarm table Overview by using filter View Name

I would like to create a DataMiner visualization (visio) that retrieves data from the Alarm Table and automatically filters the alarms based on the name of the current view.

The visualization should display only the following alarm information:

  • Element Name
  • Parameter Description
  • Current Value
  • Root Time
  • Severity

The filtering should be dynamic, so that when the visualization is used within a specific view, it only shows alarms related to that view.

The goal is to provide a clean and focused alarm overview for operators, showing only the most relevant alarm details associated with the selected view.

Hi Tim,

Most probably I am missing something, but when you select a view and then select Alarms, you should be able to see the alarms linked to the view:

Are you looking for a different behavior?

The visual overview I am using is not linked to an element. Instead, it is linked to a custom view that I created based on a node name.

The reason is that I have a protocol with 13 elements, and I need DataMiner to automatically find the correct element based on the name of the view.

For example:

View name: H38DA99HE99
Protocol: Vecima RPM
The visual overview should only display alarms for the element whose RPD Alias (or element name) matches the view name.
