Hi Dojo,
Please, what is the recommended VISIO version for DataMiner10?
And what is the oldest version still supported? (2013, 2016?)
I understand that when moving to O365 subscription plans, Plan 2 is the one that supports grid, layers and ruler and the only plan that can run as a desktop application:
In terms of one-time purchase, instead, is everything still the same with the Standard version being sufficient and no specific functions for DataMiner from the Professional package?

Thanks
Hi Alberto,
We support Visio 2013 and higher. (Actually, older versions are also still supported but then you might not yet have VSDX files available, and then you have to fall back to VDX files)
Newer versions of Visio mainly have new functionality in the editor, like the possibility to edit a group of shapes without ungrouping, which I really like, but it doesn't really matter for the resulting VSDX file DataMiner consumes.
About the Visio plans, plan 2 is indeed highly recommended. This plan allows you to install the desktop application and then you can leverage the online editing in Cube. Plan 1 only allows the online editor which can only open files from OneDrive, so then you have to manually download and upload files...
Today we still use perpetual licenses for Visio in Skyline, which might change tomorrow, but we also requested a preview at Microsoft for the online version of Visio which will come included in the O365 license to further investigate this option (more info here).
