Can you please provide more details?

Kai Von Garnier [SLC] [DevOps Member] commented 14th August 2020

that was the generic question from a partner. It was first of all about a fundamental support – according to our AWS support

Michiel Saelen [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 14th August 2020

Do you mean that you want to monitor what is running within Azure or that you want to run DataMiner in Azure?

Kai Von Garnier [SLC] [DevOps Member] commented 14th August 2020

Sorry, that wasn’t properly phrased. It’s about monitoring applications running in the Azure Cloud

Ben Vandenberghe [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 14th August 2020

Kai, the request will have to be more specific. This could be about a million different things. But in general, when it is about managing applications in the cloud, whether that application is hosted in Azure, AWS or any our cloud platform, there is absolutely no problem to monitoring that with DataMiner. DataMiner integrates easily with any product, software and hardware, on prem or off prem, and irrespective whether that’s via a standard protocol or proprietary API.

You can run DataMiner on a VM that is hosted in Azure (or AWS).

Keep in mind that this can be rather expensive if you want to have dedicated drive, low network latency, minimum specs, ...
