Extended display opening the pop windows minimized and not on top of the main page

I am working on a setup of a desktop extended to two displays, using DataMiner 10.2 and browsing via DataMiner Cube.
Working on the bookings manager app, when clicking on the Visio to open up a window for example to show QC Screen or to open a notification on the banner; the window opens minimized in the display as highlighted below, however, when opening the same from the Laptop screen it opens normally.
Is it a display resolution configuration? or Visio? or Software?

Hi Kawssar,

I’m not exactly sure about this, as it’s a little difficult to tell if you have the same problem, but it could be to do with your windows display settings,w hen connecting a second monitor. In Settings/Display, if you have the scale option set to anything higher than 100%, some apps (not just DataMiner) will scale differently on a connected screen, causing some undesired effects. e.g. Minimized or oddly opened windows, sometimes half off screen etc.

Setting it to 100% resolves this for me, but then some things are too small to use/read on the laptop screen if you also have a high resolution selected.

Basically windows is adjusting the scale of apps and visible text to be readable by scaling within the resolution. So selecting a lower resolution where you can see everything well at 100% scale on the laptop screen might be the answer. It worked for me.

Thanks very much, Simon, that setup solved my problem.

Hi, I have seen similar things as well, but it was mainly linked to dual-screen setup where the new window was positioned on a disconnected screen.

A way to be sure it is not that if following this procedure to get that window on your expected screen:

Right-click the program on the taskbar, and then click Move. Move the mouse pointer to the middle of the screen. Use the ARROW keys on the keyboard to move the program window to a viewable area on the screen. Press ENTER.

Hope this helps.
