We would like to have a redundant connection available for data synchronization in a DMS (cluster). Is it possible to assign two NICs for data synchronization within a DMS?
Hi Bruno,
You could look into using teaming for your NICs.
NIC Teaming allows you to group between one and 32 physical Ethernet network adapters into one or more software-based virtual network adapters. These virtual network adapters provide fast performance and fault tolerance in the event of a network adapter failure.
In that case you can create a team of the 2 NICs you would like to use to synchronize data over. This then created your 'Teamed NIC'. This Teamed NIC you can then assign as the NIC to use for synchronizing data in your cluster.
