Hi, I want to do Protocol and Driver development on Dataminer Servers.
I have dataminer.services account associated to my corporate email and got Developer License from Skyline. I have installed Visual Studio (Community 2022) and DIS by following this documentation (https://docs.dataminer.services/develop/TOOLS/DIS/Installing_and_configuring/Installing_and_configuring_DataMiner_Integration_Studio.html).
However, I could not authenticate into Visual Studio with my dataminer.services account due to some policies within our company.
May I know that how can resolve that problem and is it possible to do development with non-corporate account or any workaround?
Hi Bert, thank you for your reply.
As some of the error details will include some internal confidential information, can I provide you those details in private?
Hi, you can indeed contact us via email, you can either contact DIS(at)skyline.be or myself bert.vandenberghe(at)skyline.be
Hi all, to close off this issue, we got confused while following Step 7 of the guide as we have used Visual Studio File > Account Settings login instead of the DIS Settings > Account login. I have managed to sign in with no issues via DIS Settings > Account.
Thanks all!
Thanks for the feedback. We changed step 7 to “In the DIS menu, go to Settings > Account, and sign in with your dataminer.services account.”
Hi Kyaw,
the question is still open from our side, so hereby i want to confirm if everything worked out for you after signing in?
Or did you encounter still some more issues afterwards?
As Bert mentioned, also don't hesitate to reach out via e-mail or via our community.
Hi,
Would you be able to provide some more details about which error you exactly experience and where/when you see this error? Also a screenshot could be very useful.
And are you sure you’re not logged in because I can see a very recent last successful login in our DIS licensing service… So, on our end it looks OK.
Note that there is no real distinction between a corporate or non-corporate account… If you can log in with your account on dataminer.services, you should be able to log in with DIS.
Bert
