which allows to go online, does not seem secure.
Is there a way to limit or secure access?

Hi Jean-Pierre,
This page is only visible once the user is already authenticated, meaning not everyone can click the bring online button. The actual failover switch is also behind a permission flag in DataMiner, you should only grant this to users/groups that are actually allowed to bring the failover online. This is the permission required:

Quoting Jens – I’d add that the GUI from the offline server can add a significant help whenever the online system has become unresponsive and a failover is required – I’ve experienced that in the past and I’d leave this section exactly as it is – saving precious time for admins at night 😉
no thank you, in fact I was using a windows account which had the rights for failover action in Dataminer, therefore I did not go through the authentication page
