I want to show only one View to an operator accessed by Cube.
Controlling permissions prevented access to other pages, but Activities, Apps, Workspace, etc. would still appear in the sidebar.
Is it possible to display only the target View at maximum size?
I want to prevent operators from performing unnecessary operations.
My ideal would be for the sidebar to disappear and the start page to be set to a specific View.
Hi Yuki,
It is not possible in Cube to hide everything but a single view.
Two possibilities you can look into:
- Keep using Cube, with a Workspace with that view configured to be displayed at startup (can be enforced for a user group). With the permissions on that user or group you can deny access on everything else. These users will still have the sidebar, but will not be able to do anything they shouldn't do. Note: the activities tab will only show recent activity by the logged in user, so will only show relevant objects.
- If the user only needs to do very specific actions, like viewing/displaying some data, pressing a button, etc. it could be interesting to create a low-code app for that. You can create an UI that is tailored for this group of users and the info and functionality they need. You can find more info on low-code apps here.
Hi Yuki,
You can create a workspace and configure it as default page in the Cube sides settings.
Hi Yuki,
I am not sure if this helps, but for this kind of limited access we use the DataMiner monitoring app. It is accessible via web-browser at <hostNameOrIP>/monitoring
Thank you for response.
That was not the answer I wanted.
The user wants to use SRM and therefore wants access in Cube.
I have tried it, but the situation does not change when using web access.
After logging in, I get the over view and also the sidebar shows activity.
