Backup Log file location when backup initiated from taskbar tool

I do not see a backup log file in the typical location when the backup is initiated from the taskbar utility. Where would it be located? I also do not see any information events when the backup is initiated from the taskbar on the offline DMA in a failover pair, is that expected? BTW this is for MySQL based DMA if that makes any difference

Thanks

Hi Jeff,
Have you checked the settings in the Taskbar Utility? When right-click in the bird icon, you can check the backup settings in ‘Options’. By default the file path is ‘C:Skyline DataMiner Backups’. Taking a backup from a offline agent should work as well

There is no difference for the backup location for Cassandra/MySQL, the main difference for cube and taskbarutility is indeed as Miguel mentions the standard folder

In the past most references were to C:\Skyline DataMiner\backup but we changed this to a folder “outside” the C:\Skyline DataMiner folder for practical purposes

There is one thing to check for MySQL, if you have a corrupt table it will block your backups. This will be visible in the C:\Skyline DataMiner\Backup.log.txt showns as an error code:2
