Hi,
In credentials library, I try to set up SNMPv3 credentials with authPriv. As authenication algorithms I only have HMAC MD5 and HMAC SHA to choose from. For encryption algorithms I have DES and AES128.
If I instead on the element settings chose SNMPv3 with authPriv I have a whole range of different SHA and AES encryption levels to choose from which are not available in Credentials Library.
What I want to do is set up credentials using SHA-512 and AES-256 in the library.
I'm new to SNMP v3 so it may vey well be something I'm not getting here.

Hi Roger,
As far as I know the following authentication algorithms are not supported yet in the credential library:
- SHA-224
- SHA-256
- SHA-384
- SHA-512
In a similar way, the following encryption algorithms are not supported yet in the Credential Library:
- AES-192
- AES-256
Please if you can create a feature suggestion to track this request.
Regards,
Hi Roger,
As far as I know they are different modules. That's the reason the algorithm supported are different. When creating an element, by default credentials are stored in a different location.
But what is the difference between the credentials library and element settings? Why is it available in one place but not the other? And Skyline clearly recommends using SHA-512 and AES-256 in their decumentation.
