Hello community,
Weeks back, I posted here asking how to access the content within a DataMiner backup file. I was advised to change the file extension to .zip
, as this should allow me to view the files inside. However, I regret to say that I’ve tried this, and it is not working (please see attached screenshot for reference).
Has anyone else encountered this issue or have suggestions on alternative methods to view the backup contents?
Any guidance would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!
Am not sure it is apparent but I assumed any suffix after the dot symbol is what should be changed to the get the desired extension because that was what I tweaked
Hi Samson,
If the file extension is hidden, you are changing the file name. From your screenshot I can see that the bird icon is still displayed. This is the reason I am suspecting that the file extension is hidden.
Thanks, how do I access the extension?
Another option If you have WinRAR installed. Simply right click the file and open with WinRAR. You will then have access to all the files.
Hi Samson,

Hi Samson,
Can you confirm that you are able to see the file extension? By default, the file extension is hidden.
