Hi,
Can I safely delete all outdated .NET related programs, or are there any dependencies with the old versions?
For example, I have the following:
Microsoft .NET 5.0.11 - Windows Server Hosting
Microsoft .NET 6.0.13 - Windows Server Hosting
Microsoft .NET 8.0.2 - Windows Server Hosting
Microsoft .NET Runtime -5.0.11 (X64)
Microsoft .NET Runtime -5.0.11 (X86)
Microsoft .NET Runtime -6.0.13 (X64)
Microsoft .NET Runtime -6.0.13 (X86)
Microsoft .NET Runtime -8.0.2 (X64)
Microsoft .NET Runtime -8.0.2 (X86)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 5.0.11 - Shared Framework (X64)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 5.0.11 - Shared Framework (X86)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 6.0.13 - Shared Framework (X64)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 6.0.13 - Shared Framework (X86)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 8.0.2 - Shared Framework (X64)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 8.0.2 - Shared Framework (X86)
Can I delete all the programs that aren't from version 8.0.2?
Hi Tiago,
If you are running a version of DataMiner that only requires .NET 8 (which you can check here) and if all the DxMs you have installed are up to date you can delete all the older .NET programs.
Kind regards,
That would depend on exactly which version of DataMiner you are running, see https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Reference/DataMiner_Compute_Requirements.html#microsoft-net
