Hi all,
We had issues installing the DataMiner 10.2.0.0 Main Release on top of DataMiner 10.0.0.0. The agent didn't respond and nothing seemed to happen after a DataMiner restart. Eventually we found out the SLNet service didn't exist on the system. We manually created and started it and after a restart the agent started successfully.
What could be the reason that the SLNet service doesn't exists?
No, straight from 10.0 to 10.2.
Stijn,
If SLNET was not running, DataMiner was not operational. If this happened during the upgrade attempt, the upgrade shouldn't have been successful either.
To determine what could have caused the SLNET process disappearance a few troubleshooting steps are, typically, necessary.
Please see below resources for guidance on the subject:

Thank you,
I had performed the unregister and re-register dataminer and dlls, but those failed. Probably that is the reason the SLNet service didn’t exist. Thanks
Hi Stijn, did you first upgrade to DataMiner 10.1 before installing 10.2?
