Dear All,

Which version of Ubuntu shall I use for the installation of Open Search Application?

Has skyline tested Ubuntu 20.04 with Open Search Application on Dell Server PowerEdge R650?

Is there any hardware driver issue on Ubuntu 20.04?

Hi Toh,

We advise that you use the latest LTS (long term support) version. Currently this is 22.04 (Releases - Ubuntu Wiki).

So the version 22.04 work well with Open Search.

Currently I am setting up the new server with Ubuntu.
Will like to confirm that the Ubuntu will work well with Dell Power Edge R650 Server and the Open Seach application.

Hi Toh,
If you want certainty that your HW is compatible you can use the following search to see if the HW is certified:
https://ubuntu.com/certified?q=dell+power+edge+r650
So your HW should be compatible as it is certified.
