When using STaaS, what happens if connectivity to the cloud is lost?
We understand that DataMiner buffers data locally and uploads it to STaaS after connectivity is restored.
What user-visible and system-level impacts should be expected during the outage? For example:
Operator experience in Cube/Web Apps
Alarming and monitoring behavior
Trending and historical data availability
Automation execution
Effects of extended outages and any buffering limitations

Hi Steve,
When using STaaS the same behaviour will occur as it would when losing the connectivity to an on-prem database. The system will go into offload mode and will replay it when the connectivity returns.
Any impacts on the system are the same as you would see on any other database.
