What is the purpose of the “other” databases you can add in System Center in DataMiner Cube? When would it typically be useful to add such a database?

Hi Marieke,
When implementing IAM (DMS Inventory & Asset Management), we need to configure in DataMiner the connection with the external database. This is configured in the ‘Other’ database tab.

Another possible use is for databases that are used for sql layers in DataMiner Maps. See help: maps layer types and help: sqlsourceinfo
