What's the best / advised way to install a driver on my system:

  • a new driver
  • an update of the same version
  • a new range
  • an update of a specific range (when I have multiple ranges active)

The recommended way is to use the update center in DataMiner Cube. There you have an overview of your installed and ordered drivers, and you can simply download and install the drivers.

Other alternatives are:
- On a DataMiner agent running the DataMiner taskbar utility, open a *.dmprotocol package.
- In DataMiner Cube, go to the Protocols and templates app, click the upload button and select a *.dmprotocol or protocol.xml file.

the problem when using upload from protocols & template i can’t choose .dmprotocol files only .xml files

we have 9.5.0.0 Datminer Version

Hi Bisher, is it possible you use the right click menu in the list of protocols to get to the upload? This indeed only allows .xml files. If you click on the ‘Upload’ button on the bottom right hand side of the ‘Protocols & Templates’ app, it should allow you to select a .dmprotocol package, also in DataMiner 9.5.
