Dojo,
I have a Path Markup visual that gets its path value from a parameter. When this parameter is updated the visual updates accordingly.
However when you have the element card open and perform an update the visual is not updated fully until you close and open the element card again. (Its confirmed that the markup value is updated correctly)
- How dynamic are visuals of this type when implemented in this manner ?
- Are there any limitations ?
- Any suggestions that will prevent closing and opening the element card to see the updated visual?
DMA: 10.4 CU6
I can't seem to tell from your question when the Path doesn't update and when it does. However, assuming the content of the Path shape data changes (through a placeholder update or other), the path should always update. If that is not the case, it's best to reach out through tech support.
Hi Wale,
Not answering your question directly, but just to let you know that you could also display these spectrum traces in a dashboard/LCA using trend charts (data source: GQI queries), or from a spectrum UI. See this question where we have a similar use case:
Spectrum Analyzer – Display trace from files
The difference between the trend chart in a dashboard and the spectrum UI is that in the latter you can define markers, reference levels that will allow a user to better explore the trace.
Hope it helps.
Always good to know of alternative approaches. Thanks Miguel.
The first image shows how the paths should be for the respective ports 1 and 2. The second image shows after switching to port 2 its image is not updated fully. I will follow up with Techsupport. Thanks
