Visio – ParameterControl – Table – Lazy Loading option

Hi Dojo,

In visio I have a ParameterControl which links to a table with a searchbox, similar to what is documented here: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Basic_Functionality/Visio/turning_shapes_into_controls/Turning_a_shape_into_a_parameter_control.html#adding-a-filter-box-to-a-table-control

The table I'm displaying has around 6000 rows and 26 columns, and takes several seconds to load on the Visio. I was now wondering if there is an option to enable "lazy loading"? This would then allow data to be displayed faster.

Kind regards,

Is the table control slower in visio than it is in data display? That would be… unexpected.

Stacey Van Colen [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 6th September 2023

In Visio it takes on average 13 seconds.
On Data Display on average 4 seconds.

The control used in Visual Overview is the exact same one as the one in data display. So without any modifications it would be unexpected for it to perform differently. If that is the case, please do create a support ticket.
