Hello I see that my colleagues sometimes mask elements or alarms with the setting:
"Mask until unmasking".
But then they forget to unmask the element or alarms.
In the alarmview, you can filter on Critical, Major, Warning, Minor, notice and Time-out.
I would like to filter also on "Masked". That would be nice if that would be possible.
But if not, Is there another simple way to view all the elements/alarms that are masked?
Regards,
Rob.
Hi Rob,
One of the default alarm tabs in the alarm console is 'Masked Alarms'. In case it is not available, you could proceed as follows:
- Click on the + sign
- Select the filter 'Masked alarms'
You can find more information about the alarm console in DataMiner Help (Working with the alarm console)
Just for sake of completeness – if you have an element that is masked, but which has no alarms, then of course this would not be visible in the Alarm Console (there you would only see active alarms that are currently masked, because of the fact that either that specific alarm was masked or the element itself was masked).
If you are interested to see which elements are masked (including the ones that do not have any alarms on them at that point in time), then you can open up an Element list on a View card, and filter on ‘Masked’ (i.e. the Alarm State of those elements is set to Masked).
Thanks.
Simple,
…first think then act 😐
