Using dashboard/LCA to monitor 24/7 and avoid automatic disconnection

Operational teams use DataMiner to monitor their systems 24/7. Some keep a “dashboard” open in their monitor wall to detect any problem quickly.

In Cube, it is possible to disable the session automatic disconnect as follows.

How can we achieve the same for dashboards and LCAs? Is there a user setting that controls automatic disconnects?

Thanks

Hi Miquel,

I’ve ran into the same issue and raised a ticket(DCP154739) ,

there is a workaround:
Workaround

Recycling can be minimized by tweaking the IIS recycle schedule: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/configuration/system.applicationhost/applicationpools/add/recycling/

However, since this is a mandatory mechanism, it will need to happen at some point (requiring user input).

At the moment, the workaround that is currently being used is a “Tab Auto Refresher” plugin for Chrome.

But i havent seen this fixed in at least 10.4.3

You’re absolutely right. Recycling is inherently part of the web server. We have a plan for how to address this in the future, but since it involves significant changes, it’s being postponed for now.
