Hi Dojo
We are considering migrating our on-premise Dataminer to AWS.
We would like to replace Cassandra and Opensearch with AWS services, as it is difficult to prepare everything on EC2.
I see that Amazon Keyspace and Amazon Opensearch were supported up to Dataminer version 10.3,
I checked the guide and there was no mention of Dataminer version 10.4.
Has the documentation been not updated for this?
Or is it no longer supported from version 10.4?
Kind Regards,
Hi Yuki-san,
We will no longer support both the Amazon Keyspaces Service and Amazon OpenSearch Service starting from 10.4, as we recommend a better solution for our users: Storage as a Service (STaaS). You can also use on-prem solution for self-hosted storage.
Hope this helps clarify your concerns. Thank you.
And here is the link to all information about STaaS: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Functionality/Databases/STaaS/STaaS.html
STaaS is superior compared to using standard databases because STaaS is specifically built on top of cloud native storage solutions so that you can get the best and most reliable solution for better pricing.
