Upgrade from fresh Install fails

Hi Dojo

I'm trying to upgrade a fresh installed DMA (ATTENDED_DATAMINER_INSTALLER_10_0_0_CU6.ISO) to DataMiner 10.1.0.0-11132 Full Upgrade.dmupgrade fails with following Log-Entries:

Failed to detect needsRestart for upgrade DataMiner 10.1.0.0-11229 Full Upgrade.dmupgrade: System.ArgumentException: 1 is not a supported code page.
Parameter name: codepage
at System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding(Int32 codepage)
at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipConstants.ConvertToString(Byte[] data, Int32 count)
at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipConstants.ConvertToStringExt(Int32 flags, Byte[] data)
at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipInputStream.GetNextEntry()
at Skyline.DataMiner.Net.Upgrade.UpgradeHelper.DetectWhetherUpgradeNeedsRestart(String filePath)
at Skyline.DataMiner.Net.Upgrade.AgentToUpgradeInfo.UploadUpgradeFile_Local()

SLTaskbarUtility consumes 30% of CPU but I cannot see any progress.

Any Ideas?

Hi Joerg,
Could you check the regional settings of the server? I remember I saw this issue in the past when installing an agent in a server with regional settings different from English. After updating the regional settings I could install DataMiner.

You are right, I changed from English (Germany) to English (Unites States) and the upgrade starts fine.
