Hi Support,
I would like to know what are the different between Average (change only), Average (Fixed interval) and Real-time on dashboard version 10.2.0 CU19
Appreciate your assistance on this query
Thanks
Hi Muhamad,
As previously mentioned, the 'Changes only' option exclusively includes records when there are alterations in values. The 'Fixed interval' setting generates records at intervals defined by the configured trend averages (e.g., 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.).
Starting from version 10.3.5, you also have the flexibility to select the interval.
Hi Muhamad,
In the case of changes only, you will only get trend points in case the value has changed.
In the case of the fixed interval, you will get trend points at a fixed interval (e.g. 5 minutes), even if the trended value didn't change during that interval.
Hi Muhamad,
I've tested this on a 10.3.0 release and got the expected outcome.
I was unable to find any related release note, but maybe someone else in the community knows if a fix was done between 10.2 and 10.3 for this.
"Average (change only)" and "Average (fixed interval)" Data Exported:
Hi Herreman,
Thank you for the answer.
When exporting data to CSV from the dashboard, I observed that both the “Average (change only)” and “Average (fixed interval)” data produced the same results or values with the same interval
could you clarify is it how the data supposed to be when exported to CSV?
I attached screenshot of the data for “Average (change only)” and “Average (fixed interval)” as below :
