Hi,
On a system using the topology chain, I'm opening a certain topology item. Beneath this topology item, there are multiple 'children' topology items.
The connector has the 'disableViewRefresh' option (introduced in RN20300). This means that the server does not initiate automatic refresh updates as this could have a noticeable impact on the system when there are a lot of subscriptions on (direct) view tables, over multiple clients.
To mitigate this, we can use client-side functionality instead. This is enabled through the setting 'commonServer.ui.ViewTableRefresh.PollInterval'. The setting is not configurable in DataMiner Cube, but has to be set in "C:\Skyline DataMiner\Users\ClientSettings.json".
When checking the topology through the Visual Overview of the element (FE Manager), this is working fine. However, when opening the Topology card, I'm seeing a warning. I must say the data pages are updating with the same internal, but this is not the case when I'm checking a page 'Below this X'. Instead, I'm seeing the message:
"Partial table will not handle any table updates when using custom filter or sorting. Use the refresh button to manually trigger a table update."
Does someone know why that is and if we can still make it work? (As this is working on a Visual Overview page with the topology embedded.)
Thank you!
Yet today, there's no clear answer to this question. As time continues, we kept using the Visual Overview so this question is not relevant to me (and the customer) anymore. I assume we could have experienced a potential software issue that might be resolved in more recent DataMiner versions.
We can close this question.
