Hi Dojo, I don't know if there is a way to include the timeout indication also on DVEs.
In my systems the amber cross is shown for the parent element only, but I'd have a few cases where the parent element would be not included in the same view, so having a DVE with a normal alarm state where the parent is in timeout could be misleading: in the example below, I have 2 parent element in timeout, each of them generates 2 DVEs (slot 3 & 4) with a Normal Alarm state
I'm running 9.6 CU24 - is this any different in v10?
Thanks
PS: I had logged a feature request for a different icon in Cube, to differentiate elements and DVEs, could the timeout behaviour be part of the same feature?
Hi Alberto,
I believe this driver feature is already available. Please have a look at DataMiner Development Library (Timeout state):
DVEs are by default not set into timeout when the main element is set into timeout. If you want an automatic timeout on the DVE when the main element is in timeout, you have to specify the following in the driver:
<Type overrideTimeoutDVE="true" >
Thanks, Miguel
This helps – will compare this across the drivers – wondering why by default this is set to “False” – For performance? I’m wondering if this could chnage at some point, perhaps as part of hving also a different icon in Surveyor for DVEs:
