Hello Leo,
Please see DataMiner Docs for several ways of sending an email from DataMiner. In my opinion, creating an Automation script with an action "Email" is the simplest way to send a test email from a DataMiner Agent.

Manually adding a scheduled task | DataMiner Docs - see paragraph 9, one of the possible actions is "Email".
Sending an email | DataMiner Docs - sending an email as a Correlation action.
Please note, a DataMiner Agent has to be configured to allow sending an email: Configuring outgoing email | DataMiner Docs

As Alex mentioned, did you configure your DMA with the necessary SMTP settings ? That info is present in the last hyperlink Alex shared : https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Functionality/DataMiner_Agents/Configuring_a_DMA/Configuring_outgoing_email.html.
Do you still face the issue after configuring your DMA to send outgoing email ?

Many thanks for the prompt support.
I have created an Automation script with action, Email. When I execute the script, it says succeeded but we are not getting the email.
I have sent you an email copying my colleagues with some snippets of our current setup.
Kindly note that the email notification was working before.
