Does DataMiner currently support SMSEagle hardware redundancy ? In case it is supported and 2 pcs SMSEagle are connected to the DMS, that would mean 2 SIM cards and 2 different mobile numbers. Will both be active at the same time (active/active or active/standby) ?

There are two types of redundancy that you can do with a SMSEagle gateway. Modem redundancy with a dual SIM device or hardware redundancy with two devices using the HA cluster feature.
With a dual SIM device and installing two SIMs cards, you can have a modem redundancy and also a network operator redundancy (if SIMs are from different operators). Also, you can increase the sending/receiving throughput of up to 60 SMS/min.
With the HA cluster feature, you can run two SMSEagle devices very close to how DMA FA works. It uses a virtual IP and the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol. I didn't test this configuration but from the point of view of DataMiner is just one IP therefore one device, so it should be transparent.
