Hi Dojo,
We noticed that every time that we update the Skyline Taskbar Utility (that comes with a DataMiner upgrade), the credentials previously stored in the 'slnet' tab are removed:
For this test we upgraded from 10.1.1.0-9814 to 10.1.1.0-9843. However we noticed this behavior already in previous Feature Release versions.
Please could you let us know if this is expected behavior?
Thanks!
Hi Miguel,
From a quick test it seemed that this behaviour changed between 10.0.5.0 and 10.0.6.0, in 10.0.6.0 there is a default ApplicationSettings.xml included in the package which was not present before. So upgrading from 10.0.4.0 to 10.0.5.0 would keep the settings, any further upgrades removed it.
There does not seem to be any indication as to why this is changed, so I assume it is unintentional.
Everything in the ApplicationSettings.xml would be reverted to the default settings, so yes, this would also disable configs.
Thanks for the quick answer!
So this will also be the reason why the configs were no longer visible in the Skyline Taskbar Utility after an upgrade.
Task created to roll this back.
