Service template with influence overall service alarm severity based on a condition

I'm trying to dynamically define the influence of an element based on the switch position of a redundancy switch.
Because we don't know the exact type of redundancy switch we made sure that the switch position name and values are the same.

In the condition it's possible to select by Parameter Name instead of the Parameter.
For values I tried both the raw value of the discrete and the display value of the discrete.

It however doesn't add the (not in use) next to the element name in the service.
I wonder if it's a misconfiguration or a software issue.

Hi Jeroen,
In your screenshot the “Dynamically include” row seems unselected -do you get the same behaviour if you check the option at line 1?

I’m led to think the second line is relevant only when dynamic inclusion is selected.

On the other hand, I’d expect the default behavior to be that the overall service severity is always influenced by an included element if no condition is specified – but I’m longing for more info on service templates, so I’ll follow this thread: is this the actual behaviour?

Within the context of something similar to a Redundancy Group, I believe you’re right – let’s say: Element “A”, element “B”, each one included only when Element “Switch” has parameter “position ==A” (or B respectively).

I remember i also had issues with different protocols in templated element, i created a seperate entry for each driver

On the other hand i believe this should work, my suggestion would be, in case you still need this, to take a DELT package of the 2 different protocols with the same parameter name, in combination with a copy of the service template

With these 2 things we'll very likely be able to simulate the behaviour and add a fix on the roadmap
