QA Device Simulator throws exception when trying to sort OIDs in simulation

Hi Dojo,

I am trying to use SNMP simulation file in QA Device Simulator, however the simulations OIDs are out of order which causes the simulation to produce incorrect data. The QA Device Simulator asks me if I want to order the OIDs, but when I click yes it throws exception that file is already in use(it’s not).

Could it be that repair doesn’t work because QA Device Simulator is “using” the simulation file and it’s blocking itself?
Is there another way to sort OIDs?

Thanks,
Cheers

Hi Edib,

This is a known issue with QA Device Simulator which is still open, no fix is available right now.

Regards,

Hi Edib,
In order to workaround this known issue, you could take SNMP walks using custom OIDs (see the fields ‘from’ and ‘to’ when creating a new simulation file). Next you can append the results in a new file.
Hope it helps.

Hi Klaas,
I was able to repair the simulation by using older version of QA Device Simulator.
Thanks
