Profile Parameter – what’s the impact of adapting capacity configuration while used by resources?

Hi Dojo,

In this case I have a capacity profile parameter with a min. range of 10 and a max. range of 30. I’ve added this capacity to a resource and defined value 25.

Now I’m wondering what the impact is when I adapt my max. range value to 20? I see that Cube doesn’t throw a warning and the resource still has value 25 defined.
Will there be any impact on new/ongoing/future SRM bookings? Or will these capacity configuration changes only impact resources on which this capacity will be added or when updating a resource?

Hi Jens,

Resource will keep the same capacity and new/ongoing/future bookings will not be impacted.

The only impact is when you want to save the resource in cube, the arrows will max out in 20.

Hi Jorge, thank you for your answer. May I conclude that Max. Range, Min. Range, Step Size and Decimals are client-only configurations and therefore there is no impact server-side if the configured resource capacity value meets these requirements or not?
