We are trying to implement Okta as our sign on provider for Dataminer. We are running into issues where when we click the button in Okta, it doesn't log in, just goes to the login page for a local login. We are using a local server, it has a valid wildcard certificate. Okta and the XML files look correct. Looking to see if anyone else has had issues and if there was a setting that would be needed.
Also worth noting, I'm an admin on the system and the xml in the instructions is a create user and the group is operator. Not sure if this is what is causing me issues.
Thank you
Hi Jeremy,
Do you still need help with this issue at the moment? If yes, I’d recommend contacting contact techsupport@skyline.be for a more in-depth investigation, as the problem may be too complex to easily tackle it in the Q&A here. Or if you no longer need any help with this, could you select the answer to indicate that no further action is needed?
As this question has now been inactive for a long time, I will close it. If you still want more information, could you post a new question?
Hi Jeremy,
You did follow the instructions you can find here Configuring SAML with Okta as the identity provider | DataMiner Docs?
And you have that external authentication tag in the dataminer.xml like it's described in step 6 of the above docs page? And you did a restart of DataMiner?
If that is in place, and you navigate to your DMA with a web browser, it should redirect you to the external authentication provider...
Bert
Double-checked config. No SAML Logs which is odd, also when going to the web gui, there is no option to use identity provider. We are on version 10.4.1 (CU0)
