Hi,
Not a developer, so all about .NET versions feels a bit confusing really.

I’m about to upgrade from Dataminer 10.1 to 10.3 via 10.2.
According to this instruction ASP.NET Core 5.0.11 is required.
DataMiner 10.1.0/10.1.x to DataMiner 10.2.0/10.2.x | DataMiner Docs

But in this requirement page, ASP.NET is not mentioned at all
DataMiner Compute Requirements | DataMiner Docs

The server we’re running is a Windows 2019. We’ve installed .NET Framework 4.8 and also .NET 7 (runtime).

What .NET versions /variants would I need to install to make full use of DM 10.3 (if anything else?).

Hi,

Certain DataMiner versions already include the needed .NET version.

From DataMiner Feature Release 10.3.3 or DataMiner Main Release 10.3.0 [CU3] .NET 6 is included.

Wkr,

Yes, but I wish to follow your recommendation – which is to install the required .NET versions prior to running the installer to avoid complicating the installation procedure with reboots etc.

Adding information: From DataMiner 10.2 CU4 .NET 5.0 will be included.
Note upgrading will not remove .NET versions, so if your went through to 10.3.0 CU3 or higher you can uninstall .NET 5 from control panel.

Then you could install .NET 5 & .NET 6 on beforehand

I think .NET 5 was/is mentioned as a requirement for DM 10.1.0/10.1.x to 10.2.0/10.2.x because it was not installed by the DataMiner upgrade itself until a later version where this was tackled by the upgrade automatically.

After checking the 2 URLs you mentioned in the question, I can see them added on both the requirements and in the .NET table of the docs page
