As a user I'm making changes to a Skyline-signed protocol, I still want Skyline to support that connector, can Skyline validate my modifications and sign the protocol?
Hi Bruno.
If it's a change that is useful independent of the user, then it's in general interest that the changes get validated and end up in one of the next official releases of the connector.
The changes will get evaluated and on release the connector indeed gets signed.
If the changes are meant to customize the connector for specific use-cases then it's not possible to have the changes merged in an official release.
It is however possible in that case to have the changes evaluated by Skyline and to have them signed. Due to the nature of the work this however requires engineering credits.
Indeed Jeroen, that’s a great point that you added. The changes would have to be in line with the general policies around connectors, and not some sort of customization that only serves some sort of proprietary purpose for one user, i.e. the changes should really serve the general purpose of the connector.
