LDAP Settings not saved to DataMiner.xml and no LDAP communication

Solved622 views22nd November 2024Active Directory DataMiner.xml LDAP

Hi Community,

when I configure LDAP (AD) settings via Cube UI I noticed that these settings are not saved to DataMiner.xml.

Everything I type disappears when the dialog is closed and reopened.

If I write the settings manually to DataMiner.xml, the dialog reads them correctly.

If I do changes via UI, they are not stored in the file.

Whatever is configured in the LDAP section of the DataMiner.xml, no traffic is send to the LDAP server.

Also Active Directory Logfile remains empty.

The DMA was restored from another system and I try to configure LDAP the first time for this DMA.

DataMiner (10.4.7.0-14517)

Any idea what causes this issue and how to troubleshoot?

Best regards,

Felix

Hello Felix,

After you do your changes do you click the "Apply" button at the bottom right or just close the Cube Card?

The settings aren't automatically saved if you close the card, so you have to click "Apply" first.

Hi Davy,

yes, I’ve used the Apply button

Davy Degrande [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 11th July 2024

Hey Felix,
In that case you can check the communication of DataMiner Cube to the server to see if any exceptions occur or issues occur sending the message via:
System Center > Logging > communication

If no exception or errors occurs there, the problem might be server side for that you can check the SLErrors.txt log file of the server you are connected to.

If this didn’t help at all, I would suggest to create a support mail thread so we can assist you further.
