I tried to upgrade DM cube to version 10.2. The upgrade appeared to have completed successfully, but the DMA is not responding. When I try to log in through cube or the web app, the connection times out, saying:
Failed to setup a connection with the DataMiner Agent: Problem communicating with ipc://slnetipc/SLNetService: Timeout while sending message (15s)
Other users on different machines are also not able to log in. Does anyone know what this could be and if there's a fix for it?
Hi Bethany,
I noticed that this question has been open for some time now. Can you confirm if you have found a solution, so we can mark this question as solved?
Hi Bethany,
Can you please take a look at the log files on your DataMiner server?
You can find the logfiles under c:\skyline dataminer\logging
The most important ones during startup are:
- SLDataMiner.txt
- SLErrors.txt
Hi thanks for replying. I have the SLDataMiner and SLNet files. What should I be looking for?
Hi Bethany,
Can you check if there are any errors logged in SLDataMiner.txt or SLErrors.txt log files? Typically they should be at the bottom of the log files.
If you can’t see any obvious errors, you can also check the details tab of the windows task manager on your server to make sure all DataMiner processes are running. (the processes start with SL e.g. SLDataMiner, SLNet, SLProtocol, SLElement).
If that doesn’t help, your best bet is to reach out to your Skyline contact so they can go through the logs and help you out.
This one looks ok.
Hi, thanks for looking at this. Here are the errors at the bottom of SLNet if that helps.
Hi Bethany, our squad has been in contact. We’ll need to further look into this to find the exact cause.
