Is there a way to have [ParameterDescription] placeholder only show the Parameter name?

Hello Dojo,

I am currently using this placeholder to dynamically retrieve the parameter that could be updated using an information template for a generic solution, but since it is a table parameter, the table name and display key are both retrieved. Is there a way to only retrieve the parameter name? Maybe a different placeholder? I was able to kind of hide the table name by also updating the table name in the information template, but the display key always shows up. Also, RegexReplace does not work, maybe because the value is retrieved about the regex is applied.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Gabriel,

Have you tried with option HideTableIndex?

Hello Jens, I just tried and it doesn’t seem to work with the shape, maybe becuase it’s not a ParameterControl shape. I am currently using the KPI List macro from the Dataminer KPI stencils and added Options/ParameterControlOptions to the main group, and to the [ParameterDescription] textbox and there was no change to what was displayed.

Hi Gabriel, in that case I think that you’ll have to navigate to the correct subgroup and apply it over there.
