I want to investigate if a certain event (software upgrade, firmware update, change of database…) has impact on my system. Therefore I’m wondering if I can add events so that an indicator is shown in the trend graph (e.g.: Physical Memory Usage) to investigate the behavior before and after the change.
We toyed with the idea to do this on the first implementation of the trend tags, but it eventually didn’t make the cut.
It’s a matter of using the same tag functionality but not having the entire pattern lookup apply to it.
As far as I can tell from your question you’re mostly looking to apply these custom tags on an element level so you can see them in your trend graph for any parameter of that element? If you have a clear use case you could pitch it as a new feature request and if there’s enough ask we can hopefully implement it.
