Is it possible to export/import filters

Hi,

Is it possible to transfer a shared filter between two DMS? Either by export/import or a file copy?

Asking because we have quite complex filters with filters in filters which we would like to apply to a different DMS.

Are private filters also accesible and possible to migrate to a different DMS?

Hi Roger,

Alarm filters should be stored in

C:\Skyline DataMiner\users\SharedUserSettings\Filters

These filters are stored in XML files.
I performed a small test copying a filter from DMA to another (different cluster) and I could see the alarm filter in target DMA. I didn’t have to restart the target DMA.

Since you mention that your filters are complex, it is better to test first in a Staging environment.
