I would like to do the same as is asked here, but I don’t know how I can get the required query Id and column Ids to put in the URL

I can’t find this in the docs, only that it is possible to compose a URL with pre defined values in a Query Filter component.

From doc:

query columns: Supported from DataMiner 10.3.9/10.4.0 onwards. A GQI query filter, structured as follows: query columns=[query ID]%1e[column ID]%1e[filter type]%1e[filter values]. The following filter types are supported: list, range, boolean, number, and string.

For example:

  • To treat the values of column 239db862-31bf-4905-a08b-3656b499b160_State of query 8f149a38-7a53-4baa-b0fc-9bdedbe80c87 as a list in which the Hidden and Stopped options are selected:?query columns=8f149a38-7a53-4baa-b0fc-9bdedbe80c87%1e239db862-31bf-4905-a08b-3656b499b160_State%1elist%1eHidden%1fStopped

Hi Mieke,

It is indeed not so straightforward to find these IDs. You can find them in a few steps:

Query ID

  1. Open the devtools of your browser
  2. Visit the LCA
  3. Locate the ‘GetApplication’ request in the ‘Network’ tab of the devtools.
  4. In the ‘DataPool’ property, you should be able to locate the query that is used in the filter.

Column IDs

  1. Create a new (temporary) page
  2. Open the devtools of your browser & navigate to the ‘Network’ tab
  3. Add the query from the filter to a table component on that page
  4. You should see a ‘OpenQuerySession…’ request in the devtools, the response has all the info you need.
  5. In the ‘Preview’ you can find the column Ids in the ‘Columns’ property

I have also created a task on our backlog to look into a way to make this way easier to configure. We will let you know here once this has been implemented.

thanks, I now only realized that this is most likely legacy syntax
How do I do the query column in the Json format?

Mieke Dryepondt [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 17th April 2025

Json format that worked for me:

{
"version": 1,
"components": [
{
"cid": 6,
"select": {
"query columns": [
"v:1|f:3|1419f62d-4943-4b87-9cca-82f5bd14332bu001e6188614f-996e-454e-9a40-6bc7b7e688ff_c58ff495-bf62-4aca-8470-be4f06549feeu001estringu001eSkyline Communications"
]
}
}
]
}

That is indeed the correct JSON format for the query row data. Note that the 'u001e' shown here should actually be 'u001e'
