How do I start my investigation and how to resolve it?

Hi Jens,
The Class Library shipped with DIS, provides you the options to get all elements. For each of those elements, you are able to also get the properties. I believe when you're fetching this myElement.Properties, you will get logging similar to this:
Duplicate element properties detected. Element *NAME* (*DMAID*/*EID*), duplicate properties: prop1, prop1
