Hi,
Is there a way to (easily) export all the components used by service definitions from an existing system with the goal to import them on a new system?
In case there is no single "export" feature yet, what is the complete procedure I should follow to guarantee have everything? (Service definition, functions, drivers, profile defs, profile instances, profile params, all linked automation scripts, ...)
Thank you Peter for the feedback.
2 follow-up questions:
- Resource Import: the export of resources will generate an excel file where we can indicate TRUE in the Create column to generate the resource when Importing. What will happen if that resource already exists on the system? will it update, create a 2nd or do nothing?
- Service Def Export: in order to export this I require the service definition GUID. where can I find this?
Hi Mieke, you can find the IDs by adding the ‘debug=true’ argument. You can find more info in post https://community.dataminer.services/question/cube-is-debug-mode-available-on-the-cube-client/
Hi,
Regarding the first question on Resource Import: If a resource would already exist, the script will try and update the existing resource with the new configuration defined in the excel file.
Hi Mieke, for the service definitions IDs, as far as I know it is only available through the client test tool (Advanced -> Apps -> SRMSurveyor). In the drop-down list select ‘Service Definitions’ and click ‘Select Object Types’
